If you are wondering how to make your moms day special and just can't think of a thing to do or buy for Mother's Day then get some really great ideas from your own kids.  Sit them down and ask them a few basic, simple questions.  Here are the questions and answers I got from her sons, Nicholas and Jacob.  Passing on this information to their dad, Nick was most important, though.

After all, it's dad who gets to make sure that their children's ideas are carried out for one of the best mother's day ever.

When Michelle came into our lives, my nephew tells me that it was the happiest day of his life.  When he speaks of his wife he says that the one thing that reminds him of his wife in relation to their family is the word, "self-sacrificing."

Nick went on to tell me that Michelle is someone who takes on the jobs for their family that anyone else would never do.  He said that she would give up everything for her children and her family.  He also said that it was one of the things about her that he loved and admired, because there were things she did for the kids and their family that even he would not do.  And after seeing them interact and raise their family, I can see why Michelle is so special.

What Makes My Mom Special?

Jacob:  7-years-old -

• She works really hard for us
• She gets things for us
• She buys clothes and warm jackets for us
• She hugs and kisses us
• She tells us she loves us and I say that, "I Love Her Too!"
• She went on an Easter Egg hunt with us and she went with us to other neat places too

Nicholas:  11-years-old -

• She's nice
• She takes care of us
• She works hard for us

If I Could Get My Mom Anything – It Would Be?  And Why?

Jacob:  7-years-old -

• Her own special makeup and jewelry.
• She REALLY likes those things.
• Good jewelry and expensive makeup – She loves those kinds of things for her.

Nicholas:  11-years-old -

• I would give my mom a quiet day all to herself.
• I would get her that because me and Jacob are always loud.
• She lets us be loud and we are usually loud all the time, so I would give her that for some quiet.
• I would get her Flowers.
• I would get her Roses.

 

 

One Thing About My Mom that Makes Her So Special Is?

Jacob:  7-years-old -

• My mom is special because she helps give us a nice house and good food

Nicholas:  11-years-old -

• My mom is special because of how nice she is to us

Here is the plan (based on the ideas of children), for a Unique Mother's Day Flower Delivery and Beautiful Mothers Day for one special family.

The day must begin with Breakfast In Bed, cooked by Nicholas and Jacob, delivered in bed with two red roses.

Next, there is a very special travel bag packed with all the things mom needs to get ready for the day – her own mother's day gift basket – complete with new makeup choices and special bathing essentials that smell great! And tied with a bow!

Dad is taking the boys out for a few hours with a promise to return in time to take mom out to dinner.

Dinner with two, clean and dressed boys and the rest of the Rose bouquet in Dad's hands as he greets his wife at the door to take she and the boys out for the evening where he will present her with an engraved heart necklace from them.
